POM Medical grade
Iupital™ MA series
Global Polyacetal Co., Ltd. (GPAC) has developed a new polyacetal resin (POM resin) for medical applications, called the "Iupital™ MA Series.“
It addresses design constraints in compact, high-tech devices with high-flow and high-sliding grades. By minimizing wear and noise, it ensures smooth operation and user comfort. We empower medical innovation through quality materials, fostering safer and more efficient device design.
Characteristic of MA series
The MA Series offers a range of grades including general, high flow, high rigidity, and low friction, contributing to improved design flexibility for compact and lightweight medical instruments and devices.
In particular, the low friction grades MAL20 and MAL40 significantly enhance the sliding properties compared to traditional POM resin. Previously, when combining POM parts, squeaking noises and wear were common, which led to designs that incorporated dissimilar materials to avoid these issues. The MAL20 and MAL40 grades minimize friction and wear even when paired with standard POM resin, achieving quiet operation and smooth movement, greatly enhancing comfort during the use of medical devices.
