ISCC PLUS Certification

Global Polyacetal Co., Ltd. (GPAC), Tokyo Head Office has obtained ISCC PLUS certification ^{Note 1}, which is one of the international certification systems for sustainable products. By obtaining this certification, we will begin handling ISCC PLUS certified Polyacetal resins (POM resins), High performance polyamide resin (High performance PA resin) compounds, and Modified polyphenylene ether resin (m-PPE resin), which uses sustainable raw materials allocated through the mass balance approach^{Note 2}, both domestically and overseas.

The company will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the environmental response initiatives of the POM resins, m-PPE resins and High performance PA resins business based on the Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group’s mission of “creating value to share with society.”

• Note1 The ISCC PLUS certification run by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is an international certification that manages and ensures the sustainability of raw materials in the global supply chain.
• Note2 This approach allocates sustainability to part of a product according to the sustainable raw material inputs when manufacturing products by mixing raw materials with sustainable characteristics (e.g., biomass-derived raw materials) with those that are unsustainable (e.g., petroleum-derived raw materials).

GPAC promises and declares that it shall comply with the ISCC PLUS requirements under the latest ISCC rules.
