Low density, high chemical resistance, low water absorption, high temperature rigidity
High performance modified polyphenylene ether resin
LEMALLOY™ is a polymer alloy of polyphenylene ether resin (PPE resin) and crystalline resins such as polyamide resin (PA resin) and polypropylene resin (PP resin). It combines low water absorption, low density, dimensional stability, high temperature rigidity derived from PPE resin, and chemical resistance and moldability of crystalline resin. Therefore, it can be used in a variety of environments, and can be used in a wide range of applications, including automotive, electric and electronic equipment, mechanical parts, architectural equipment, and household equipment.
Features of LEMALLOY™
- Chemical resistance equivalent to polyamide resin and polypropylene resin
- Excellent impact resistance
- Low density
- Good molding ability (excellent flowability)
- Low water absorption and superior dimensional stability compared to polyamide resin alone
- Heat resistance, high-temperature rigidity (non-reinforced and capable of paint baking at 160°C)

Examples of applications
Connectors
LEMALLOY™ is suitable for small and thin-walled connectors because of the excellent fluidity of the crystalline resin alloy.
Compared with the general-purpose PA, it absorbs less water and has superior heat and cold resistance, contributing to ensuring high reliability in a wide range of operating conditions.
It is also suitable for use in automotive parts because of its high vibration resistance and oil resistance.
Hood bulge
LEMALLOY™ has high temperature rigidity and is compatible with baking painting. Its superior impact resistance and low specific gravity make it suitable for automotive exterior materials.
AR goggles
LEMALLOY™ can contribute to the weight reduction of wearable devices such as AR goggles. We are expanding our lineup of special grades with features of low water absorption, dimensional stability, and high strength.
